Ashby Lions delivered a spirited and determined performance in their lastest fixture against a strong Bramcote side, showcasing skill, teamwork and heart right from the first whistle to the final pass. 

The Lions came out firing in the opening quarter, demonstrating excellent movement and precision in attack. Sharp passing and clevel positioning saw them storm into an early lead, finishing the quarter 13-5 ahead. Their dominance continued into the second period, with relentless defensive pressure and s,art incerptions disrupting Bramcote's rhythm. Despite a late push from the visitors, Ashby held their nerve to stay in front at half-time, leading 22-19. 

The third quarter saw momentum swing as Bramcote fought back strongly. Both teams displayed fantastic netball, with Ashby showing glimpses of training ground patterns, mixing up play, driving forward to the ball anbd keeping the attack dynamic. It was end to end action and by the end of the quarter, the teams were level at 30-30. 

In a tense final quarter, Bramcote managed to edge ahead despite continued determination and energy from the Lions. Ashby's defensive unit worked tirelessly to force errors and regain possession, while the attack continued to press and create scoring opportunities. Ultimately, Bramcote's late surge sealed the win, but the Lions' effort and performance left no doubt about their quality and potential.

"The girls should be proud of themselves, I certainly am! Bramcote knew they were in for a tough game, and although we didnt get the result the Lions roared and pushed them all the way."
