Match Overview

From the first whistle, Titans looked sharp and settled quickly into their patterns of play. Strong defensive pressure forced early turnovers, which were converted clinically in attack, giving the side a 12–8 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Lincoln responded well in the second quarter, applying pressure through court and capitalising on errors to close the gap. However, Titans maintained composure and carried a narrow three-goal advantage into halftime at 23–20.

The third quarter was evenly contested, with both teams trading goals. Mid-court adjustments saw Emma Rusted step into Centre, where she controlled the tempo and distributed smartly, keeping Titans marginally ahead at 33–30 going into the final quarter.

In the last 15 minutes, Titans raised their intensity. Defensive combinations of Nikki Shales and Rachel Craft were outstanding, producing key turnovers under pressure. This was an excellent all-round performance from the Titans to start the season. The team demonstrated strength in defence, intelligence in attack, and resilience in tight moments. With partnerships already forming and depth across the court, this result gives plenty of confidence heading into the next fixture.
